Tipula paludosa belongs to the crane fly Tipula (Tipula) group which there are 19 species currently recorded in Europe. It is hard to tell them apart by image. However, Tipula paludosa and its closely look alike species Tipula oleracea have shown up in North America and here is some info to separate these two species. |
