no photo attached?
the file size is limited to 300kb. Try cropping/resizing the photo.

experts say that Sarcophaga require genitalia for a poitive id.
I have just started collecting Sarcophaga this year, so I have yet to dissect and examine.

I doubt that anyone can say anything more than Sarcophaga sp.
John and Nini. Naturalists not experts.

Make sure there isn't any symbols or 'blank spaces' in the title of the file. I guess that is the problem Wink

By the way, as far as I know, S. carnaria is rare (or at least uncommon) in Spain. But it is the widely known species and people tend to associate certain 'looks' with this species. The net is packed with very doubtful IDs of this species. And truly the only way to seriously ID Sarcophaga in by dissection of male genitalia.

Now it's OK.
The problem was the size.

Hello,

I'm afraid, that will not be possible. I don't know about Spain, but here in Germany there are 50+ Sarcophaga species, all looking quite the same. Not identifiable after a photo...
Best regards,
Jürgen
