The wing venation is difficult to judge accurately from these photos but it sure resembles Thyridanthrax. Size may or may not matter. I find size variances often and sometimes substantial size differences. I suppose that abundance of food during larval stages determines the size. I've found very fat and larger Lucilia species before, which indicates an abundance of food for the larva. unless I see other photos, I cannot suggest a better match for this species. |
