I would like to know which species this is. Smaller longlegged fly, about 8 mm long. After a long search in the Keroplatidae and Mycetophilidae I encountered the genus Leptomorphus, with the wing veins rather similar. And the dark wing top and yellow black abdomen brought me to Leptomorphus walkeri. Is there someone who can tell me if this is correct ? I read somewhere on diptera.info that this is the only species of this genus in France, but I don't know if that is correct. Thanks for any comment.

It concerns this observation

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
