This larva is found inside the galls on the willow (Salix caprea). Its size is about 1 cm.

The larva is not like Rhabdophaga.
In these galls, someone else lives ?

The larva is either coleopteran or hymneopteran. In particular Euura (Tenthredinidae) eem to cause such galls in Salix.

Euura seems to have a head that is higher than long, so you may be right in assuming that this is lepidopteran. Jens-Peter Kopelke reared material from more than 100,000 Salix galls. He may be able to help you further: http://www.sencke...age_id=693.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
