John Carr, I am very grateful for your help.
I did not know that family of Diptera.
I guess knowing about genus or species will be difficult ... Frown

Cordial greetings from the South of Spain.

It is Leia arsona, the only European species of Leia with black halteres. This species originates from Africa but it is now well established in secondary habitats across Europe.

Jan, I am very happy, and very grateful for your help in identifying this diptero, as well as for the reasons and justification it gives us.
Very cordial greetings from the South of Spain.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
