August 14, 2007, Ozhigovo station, Naro-Fominsk district, Moscow region. Size 3.5 mm. With all these narrow but distinct grey stripes on tergites, I still couldn't find any match (got only the Far Eastern key at the moment, though). Title edited: Paraplatypeza sp. to Polyporivora ornata, male. Dmitry Gavryushin attached the following image: ![]() [162.6Kb] Edited by Dmitry Gavryushin on 03-10-2007 20:49 |

I examined the specimen at last (not just pictures ) and the combination of features (including median fork arising nearer to wing margin than to tp (dm-cu), anal cell (cup) much longer than vein beyond, tibia II with one pv spur, clear wings, antennae entirely dark, 9 notopleural setae in 2 irregular rows) quite readily led to male of Polyporivora ornata (the only specimen I have so far). |
