Hi

This photo was granted by a big friend of mine: Farhan Bokhari.
He took this photo in Wireless hill - Perth - Western Australia on 16 September 2006.

It is an amazing fly! Is it possible to reach, at least, the genus?

EDIT---> Title changed from "Spectacular bombyliidae from Australia" to "Bombyliidae - Comptosia sp."

Looks like Cythereinae, if so then could be Neosardus but this is guesswork

According to David Yeates this is Comptosia sp. (Lomatiinae).

I will ask my friend if he grants to put these photos in gallery.
