Collected last Saturday in Rilland, the Netherlands. With my key I arrive at Drosophila spec., I reckon this should be correct, but when I try to ID the species I arrive in the Drosophila subobscura group. It doesn't look like it. Can somebody help?

Hi Niels-Jan, Not enough rows of acrostichals for Drosophila. Scaptomyza unipunctum is a more northern species but ......... Hmmm apical wing spot present in male only. Edited by Jan Willem on 11-01-2017 19:58 Jan Willem van Zuijlen |

I found a similar North American species, also found in e.g. Italy: Scaptomyza adusta. It might be this one. I'll send it to you Paul! Best wishes, Niels-Jan Dek |
