Hello,
on September 29th I found in Germany, Saxony a Syrphidae larva on Acer and reared it. I followed the development of pupa. Today a male fly emerged. If required for ID, I have more Photos. The size of the fly is 10 mm.
Is it a Syrphus or Epistrophe? It would be nice to know the species name. I found in internet that Epistrophe larvae should be green, but I do not know wheather this is valid for all species.

Thanks, Marion
