Chicago 9-23-05 very small, ~3/16" I am including a side view. Neither shot is sharp, but all I got on a windy day with the plant blowing and then the fly was gone. As I don't recgonize the family I am curious of this at least. Edited by robirdman on 26-09-2005 23:19 |

It may be a species of Trichonta of the fungus gnats (Mycetophilidae).
