Does anybody know what the red "balloon" on the neck of a small parasitic wasp (Pimplinae) is? First I thought it was a mite but it doesn´t look like the mite you often see on wasps. There are no mouth parts or legs. Thankful for help! Regards Krister ebbek attached the following image: [169.41Kb] |

Can you make a better shot of it, not covered? Anyways I am pretty sure is a mite, maybe a larva |

Thanks! When I look clooser on it there are very small legs and a mite larvae seems to be correct. |
