Hi Nikita, That is not an Oestridae, but 99.9 % certain a Tachinidae. Ormia or similar. Very interesting indeed, I would be very interested to study this (and other) Tachinidae. As you might know, I collected in the Altay myself twice, though not on the steppe-area. Theo |

My mistake on the locality: somehow I thought you wrote " Semipalatinsk", but it was "Seminsky". Be sure to go hilltopping to the radio tower behind the hotel: we got a lot of Oestromyia there ! Theo |
