This potter wasp was photographed last year on August 3rd in my garden on the Golden rod, Solidago plant. I have also seen a similar one in my conservatory today. It looks like a type of Ancistrocerus to me. From the pattern/shape of the yellow bands, is it possible to tell what type of Ancistrocerus it is? Tilehurst - Reading - Berkshire - UK. It's nearly impossible to identify most Ancistrocerus by photos, also the present specimen. Christian www.galerie.hymis.eu |
