Hello, in September 2014 I breeded a few Ethmia quadrillella larvae. One of them was parasitized by this Diptera larva which left its host after it failed to pupate (due to action of the parasitoid, I suppose). The larva was approximately 2.5 mm long. Unfortunately, it disappeared inside the tissue and I never saw it again (I wanted to breed it). Has anybody an idea? Data: Germany, Lower Saxony, Haste, uncultivated land near the Mittelland Canal. Ethmia quadrillella larvae collected 9th of September 2014; diptera larva seen 21st of September. Regards, Tina Tina S attached the following image: [196.82Kb] Edited by Tina S on 14-12-2017 04:17 |

I am more inclined to think this is the larva of Hymenoptera.
