Thanks. Only 5 species in Sweden, and I believe it should be Dryomyza anilis...

Hello,

Oddly Fauna Europaea only lists 3 Dryomyza species for the whole of Europe. And one Neuroctena species: Neuroctena anilis - and that's what it is...
Best regards,
Jürgen

Yes, confusing for me. Dryomyzidae according to the Swedish official list Dyntaxa (Fauna Europaea i parenthesis):

Dryomyza anilis (Neuroctena anilis)
Dryope decrepita (Dryomyza decrepita)
Dryope flaveola (Dryomyza flaveola)
Pseudoneuroctena senilis (Dryomyza senilis)
Paradryomyza spinigera (?)

So the Swedish list is up to date (but not Fauna Europaea)...

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
