Collected 30 May 2014 in a saltmarsh in Rilland, the Netherlands. About 4 mm. I come to Muscidae, Coenosiinae. Can it be Coenosia with these presutural dc? Any help is appreciated.

Yes, it is Coenosia subgenus Dexiopsis (2 prst dc, the 1st one at most one third as long as the second, and flagellomere yellow basally - hope you can confirm this point). I suspect Coenosia (Dexiopsis) karli which is described as an halobiontic and coastal species. The other possibility is Coenosia ruficornis. Edited by Stephane Lebrun on 19-11-2015 21:46 Stephane. |

Hi Stephane, maybe I can send this specimen to you for confirmation?
