After a VERY long time, I'm back to pester you with my photos. Would this handsome but sombre Bombyliidae be a Conophorus? Photographed a week ago in a grassy area on the coast near Rome in Italy. About 10 mm long. Thanks, Sarah.

Anthrax or Spogostylum but more strongly marked than the specimens i have
