Thanks indeed!
Following that clue, I find that Argyra diaphana would be a plausible candidate...

...in my opinion it is not A.diaphana... i've found one last month (http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=67024) and it looked different and the size is different/bigger, I think... but maybe/probably I'm wrong Smile

Errr..., well, it's kind of very similar, at least. The main difference in the pictures appears to be the extent of the yellow spots on the abdomen. Is that characteristic,, you think ?

I guess it' s characteristic, but I really don't know for sure. I found one thread in the forum about Argyras , and it was Expert Igor Grichanov who wrote the next sentence back in 2012:
Quote: "Unfortunately, Argyra has a lot of pairs of sister species that can not be distiguished by photos.
Igor Grichanov"

I think that says it all...at least for my part Smile

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
