Hello,

An Anopheles emerged the 07 april 2015 from this larva : http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=65922 found in France, Clairmarais, the 22 february 2015, in a forest, on the edge of a lake
It is possible to separate Anopheles claviger from Anopheles algeriensis from these pictures ?

Greetings,

Thomas

Looks like An. claviger - the scales on top of the head appear to be white. In An. algeriensis they are pale brown.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
