Hi

* locality - Silgueiros - Viseu - PORTUGAL
* date - 2007.05.26
* size - 3 mm (small fly)
* habitat - openland; near Mentha spp, grassfield, Smile with many leafhoppers
* substrate - hovering near grass


Smile My very first pipunculid fly. Perhaps Eudorylas sp. ?

EDIT ---> Title changed from "Pipunculidae - Eudorylas sp." to "Pipunculidae - Dasydorylas sp."

Eudorylas or Dasydorylas seems likely, if you have specimen Kehlmaier 2005 is what you need to identify to species.
