My first reaction is that they are tipulid eggs. Can you give us a size?

Thanks Tony. I'd say you're spot on there. Nephrotoma australasiae is a regular and there was certainly one on the day I collected these eggs. Unfortunately I've thrown them out so can't get you a scale. My malaise trap has also died. They don't last long in the tropics. Have to save up for another one. |
