Hi again, Photographed in May of this year, in southern Spain, arid area but with a lot of fruit plantations around. About 5mm in size. I'm guessing it belongs to the Reduviidae. Am I wrong again? Is it possible to get to species with this only photo of it? Ratatoskr attached the following image: [150.31Kb] Belief is not an idea that the mind possesses but an idea that possesses the mind. |

The curved proboscis is diagnostic for Reduviidae. |

Coranus sp., a difficult genus (for me). With long wings, pattern on abdominal underside and shape of the scutellum mostly possible Coraneus griseus. Frank Edited by Frank Marquard on 17-11-2014 17:01 |
