I found this Cheilosia species in my garden at 16.04.2014 and have no idea...
Location: Stuttgart (Southwest Germany).

Hello Andreas,

The downward produced face, dark marking in the wing and the bare eyes all indicate Cheilosia caerulescens. A species commonly found in gardens because the larvae live in Sempervivum sp.
