Seen on an unidentified leaf in a very wet water meadow, beside a drainage ditch. Field full of developing umbilifers and other wild flowers/grasses. Deciduous woodland and a river close by. My very limited text book suggests Lonchaeidae, but I don`t have a clue. Many thanks Trik |

Assuming this photo was taken in England, I'd file it under blowflies (Calliphoridae).
