Hi,
Yesterday this medium-sized Muscid sat on our house wall. Can it receive a name? Many thanks, Sundew

Helina, possible Helina quadrum. Would you have a good view of hind leg chaetotaxy ? The second half of the last picture would maybe be interesting.
Stephane.

The fly sat head down high up on the house wall, and I was on my tiptoes to get it in focus. The hind legs were the most problematic part! I cropped two photos, but they do not look very enlightening...

I can't clearly see if there is a pd on basal fourth of t3. I stick on my "Helina possible quadrum".
Stephane.

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
