Hi everyone! I found this hoverfly (ca. 13 mm) on 23rd March on a tree stub located in Eastern Germany (Middle Saxony). There's a small river flowing through the area and lots of alder trees (Alnus glutinosa) and Himalayan Balsam (Impatiens glandulifera) are growing there. Does anyone know the species?
