A male Simulium. I do not know how to identify most European subgenera. The color pattern could be the ornatum group except what is visible of the gonostylus looks wrong. Compare http://www.dipter...d_id=20634. |

Thanks a lot, John!! I am very happy just knowing that this is indeed genus Simulium Not complaining if somebody can go further though but Simulium sp. is great |
