Hello,

Difficult to say with such a point of view, but the articulation of the abdomen on the thorax and the thick hind femora lead me to Gasteruption sp.

Definitely Gasteruption sp. without doubt Smile The way they hold the gaster high in the air while also holding their wings low and tight to the body is very distinctive. There aren't that many species of evanoid but I don't know the fauna of Spain so it would be hard to suggest an identification.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
