Hello! Now it's Empid time... . This only 5 mm long specimen I found two days ago at a hedge (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Can it be determined closer? Thanks! You can see the fork in vein R4+5 in the tip of the wing quite clearly. A few aberrant specimens exempt in Empidinae that will always be Empis, unless the vein that branches of clearly bends towards the main vein, when you will have Hilara.
