Hello,

is an ID possible? In June and July 2013 I found several specimen.
Location: Germany, east of Nordrhein-Westfalen, on edge of a deciduous forest, 250 msm, size about 7 mm, photos on 08.06.2013.

Nope, not Chalcosyrphus nemorum. Abdomen is to long and slender, and femora 3 is not thick enough. This is a male Xylota sp.
