Tachinidae fly -1. picture

Yesterday I saw this Tachinidae fly in the garden (eastern part of Austria).
Size app. 10mm
Is it possible to tell more about it?

Is this maybe one of those small, fiendishly difficult Sarcophaga (Sarcophaga) spp? It seems to have great big camel feet ie the oversized pulvilli of Sarcophagidae.

Yeah, I'd like to think it is a dexiine tachinid, but I am not sure myself - it could just be a small sarcophagid, as you say Smile

The first thing to check once a very Muscid-like Tachinid is encountered is Macquartia grisia, especially when the eyes are very close (males: never so in Sarcophagidae !).
And this seems to me a Macquartia, however, whether it is grisea I cannot be sure.

I can confirm that a lot of Chrysolina fastuosa leaf beetles live here.
