Can someone help me with this ID? I think it's a syrphid but could be a bombyliid. Thanks. Go here:

It's much better if you post the photos to the forum directly ... Flickr is down so they are not visible and clicking on links isn't as fun as just seeing the images right here Wink

It's a syrphid ... possibly Syrphus but I will let the experts judge Wink

By grabbing the BBCode on Flickr you can display the images themselves - as above Wink

Thanks. I'll go with Eupeodes sp., at least until someone else can find a photo, etc. of what possible species-level it could be, given my area in the Pacific Northwest, USA.
