Can someone help me with this ID? I think it's a syrphid but could be a bombyliid. Thanks. It's much better if you post the photos to the forum directly ... Flickr is down so they are not visible and clicking on links isn't as fun as just seeing the images right here

It's a syrphid ... possibly Syrphus but I will let the experts judge By grabbing the BBCode on Flickr you can display the images themselves - as above
