Chlorops hypostigma Meigen, 1830, Chloropidae. One of the most abundant Chlorops spp. which develops in Dactylis, Poa, Festuca and grasses of further genera. The small species likes to visit blossoms, especially those of Evonymus europaeus (Celastraceae). A pair of black spots on the tergites near the knobs of the halteres are typical (image left above ), as well the round black flagellomere and the shining scutum.
