I am not a Syrphidae specialist at all, but I am pretty sure it is not pertinax, beause the 1st tarsus is not yellow.

After looking again in the Gallery, it looks closely to E.interrupta and E.lineta. Regards, Dennis |

It is a male pertinax, but normally the tartsae are more yellowish than this.
