Hi, Recently I watched this Tachypeza on a house wall. I often see T. nubila, but this one looks different - darker wings, no swollen fore tibiae. Is sexual dimorphism seen in T. nubila, or is this another species? In Berlin, also T. fuscipennis is recorded, and T. truncorum might be found, too. Thanks for help, Sundew Sundew attached the following image: [146.3Kb] Edited by Sundew on 31-05-2013 14:39 |

Tachydromia, one of the species that does not have sepated bands on the wings.

If even you are at odds with my fly, how can I poor botanist know... So we end at "Tachypeza non nubila", right? I have not seen T. fuscipennis and T. truncorum yet, so can they both be excluded? A "cf." would be fine! Igor, please... |
