Hello Diptera forum, some days ago (19.05.2013) I found a dipteran, which to a certain degree resembled a grasshopper as well as in its morphology as in its movements jumping from one blade of grass to another. The habitat was an abandoned olive tree orchard with dense grass and herb vegetation. I checked the diptera gallery, but to no avail. Can anybody give me a hint where to search? Thanks in advance and best regards Jochen Location: France, Reg. Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Dep. Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Manosque, Mont d'Or, sjoc attached the following image: [89.09Kb] |
