for almost all calliphorids, we need to see genitalia to have sure about species. There are various Lucilia that looks the same. |

fair enough, guess i'll have to settle for Lucilia genus on all my 'Greenbottle' shots. Shame you cant tell from the eyes! |

Being discribed first out of other Lucilia, L.caesar Linnaeus 1758 is a chrestomatic species for genus Lucilia in all popular guide-books. But it seems not as common species as guide-books authors think. As far as I know L.caesar has 2 post sut ac - yours 3ac, so it is another species of Lucilia.
