Strange creature, presumed Carabid larva

A very frightful animal emerged from underground while my friend was raking. It was 2 cm long. He asked me to ID but I leave to you!

Hi Kahis! Thank you for your comment! The larva of Carabid has very strong mandibles so I think it is possible. |
