Hi,

I was hoping someone might be able to help with these.
Ive found some Agromyzidae pictures in the gallery that look very similar, and i saw another one like this too,but with a much more rounded 'forehead' and quite a pointy abdomen,i was wondering if it could be a female or maybe a different fly?
They were found in the sussex downs UK,in an area with a stream, mixed woodland and farmland nearby.approx 3mm

thanksSmile

You are quite right, it's a female agromyzid.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
