Hello, Captured at an altitude of ~ 550 m. in Cne : Anost (Dépt. Saône-et-Loire - France) on 28 V 2008 --- - The yellows spots of tergites reach the margin of abdomen, thus is not pauxillus - pinastri or lenensis etc ... - The antennae are blackish (not pale), thus it is not venustus or hilaris. Cordially. Balmer balmer attached the following image: [151.76Kb] Edited by balmer on 09-01-2013 02:57 |

Hello He may have risk of confusion with venustus or hilaris, because of the color of antennae. Now I found photos well identified of these 2 species in : -- http://www.galerie-insecte.org/galerie/image/dos80/big/img_3953_2_.jpg.jpg (venustus) -- http://www.galerie-insecte.org/galerie/image/dos86/big/dasysyrphus_hila.jpg (hilaris) Thus I rectified my 1st message.
