11th nov, tottenham. A tachinid perhaps, the vein seems to turn up 'and' extend to the wing edge. Otherwise presumably a sarcophagid. I agree - Sturmia wouldn't have hairy eyes but would have a bristle-comb on its hind tarsi too Aplomya is a nice find - it is a parasitoid of Blue butterflies.

I seem to find it quite often in good habitats but they are not exactly 'common'
