Tricimba ?cincta (Meigen, 1830), Chloropidae, the most abundant European species in the genus. Sure identification is possible only after the male genitalia. T. cincta is variable, partly the tip and hind edge of the scutellum is yellowish. One lateral of the three impressed grooves on the scutum identify it as a Tricimba, but be careful, Conioscinella frontella and other congeneric spp. with a similar habitus also possess two slightly impressed grooves. |
