Looks like Rhaphium or Argyra sp. female. Could you make a picture of the front of the face?

I was thinking male Argyra with hypopygium rotated. Are those not male parts sticking up from the tip of the tail? |

Thank you for your input! I have interpreted this as a male, but I have only keyed something like 5 Dolichopodidae so I am not very experienced. The “hypopygium” (if it is a male) looks very different from others I have seen however. I will hopefully get the time to add more pictures tonight. /Magnus |

Thank you very much! Then it must be Argyra diaphana. This makes sense since I have collected males of this species at the same spot (that I successfully keyed). In the key I mainly fell on "Acrostichal setae uniseriate at least in anterior part", I should have chosen the other option "Acrostichal setae in two regular rows".

It could be Argyra diaphana Fabr. because of the hairy mesonotum and scutellum. But females of this species-group cannot be identified to species level.
