These flies are found on a boardwalk in a marsh in western Massachusetts, USA in late May.

It's Brachypalpus oarus.
They are not all the same specimen, because the last picture is a female, the other pictures show a male!

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
