Thanks Gerard!
E. tarsalis was my first guess, but it seems that the size is smaller and the pattern on the abdomen is somehow different, according to the info in my hand.
Could you advise the major difference between the two species?

I have a (non published) key of oriental Eristalinus and if I use that I end up with a male Eristalinus dives (Walker 1849), especially because the squamae (part of the wing) are dark brownish black.

Thanks again!
A female individual of similar size was found yesterday in the same location.
Not sure if it is the same species, but there was usually only one blackish Eristalinus sp. in the locality dominated by E. arvorum, E. quinquestriatus and E. obliquus.
