Size: approx. 5 mm
Date: 07-03-2007

This fly often appears over the lump of earth in these days. There is a shade of green in it thus I guess it is not a Scatophaga stercoraria. Am I right or not? Unfortunately I could take only one picture from it.

yes. 100% sure Scathophagidae. Scathophaga sp. (perhaps stercoraria?? but the yellow is more pale than usual...)

S. stercoraria. This species has many sublte colour forms, from brown to yellow to green.
