Location: Hungary Habitat: garden Size: approx. 5 mm Date: 07-03-2007 This fly often appears over the lump of earth in these days. There is a shade of green in it thus I guess it is not a Scatophaga stercoraria. Am I right or not? yes. 100% sure Scathophagidae. Scathophaga sp. (perhaps stercoraria?? but the yellow is more pale than usual...) let?s go see what say the experts.

S. stercoraria. This species has many sublte colour forms, from brown to yellow to green.
