Rui, the two first are certainly another undescribed Herina: just a week ago Elena Kameneva has prepared her part of joint MS with Liz Morgulis, a former master student of Amnon Freidberg from Tel Aviv; they are describing 2 new species, one from Golan Heights, and the other from Sicily. Your fly could be the third one, it looks intermediate.

The last one, indeed, is a Tetanops nr. contarinii.

Thank you Valery for the good news! I have some tephritids for you and I can send them together with the ulidiids if it’s ok.

Thank you, that would be nice, just be sure that the parcel has no value (even 5 Euro can be fatal!), just a small recommended package.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
