Hello all, Here is a caterpillar I found in Quebec (September 21st, 2010). It was crossing the road. I'm suspecting Euplexia benesimilis but I'm not sure. Can you please confirm/infirm my id? To identify Noctuidae a valuable reference is Wagner, David L. et al. 2011. Owlet Caterpillars of Eastern North America. Princeton University Press http://press.prin.../9420.html According to Wagner the white spots on A8 are distinctive for Euplexia benesimilis. |
