Hi,

Can anyone assist with an Id for this fly please ? the closest match I can find in the gallery is Rhagionidae, but I am usually wrong when I do that.

The photo was taken 5th July 2006, 7am in the morning, in Surrey Southern England.

Chrysopilus asiliformis (formerly aureus). Not uncommon throughout much of southern Britain.
